Marakai presented the Educational Marine Managed Areas model — born in the Marquesas in 2012 — built on three pillars: Know, Live and Transmit. It now spans 29 zones and 2,500+ students in French Polynesia (and some 200,000 across France), entering a consolidation phase focused on teacher training and researcher collaboration.
