Abstract
Murphy presented Voice of the Ocean, a 2022 Indigenous-led concept gathering Pacific peoples' feelings about the sea, using the octopus (faʻe) as a symbol of the connections linking Oceania. It has been carried to forums such as the International Seabed Authority to argue for underwater cultural heritage in deep-sea-mining regulation.
